Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon rainforest is one of the largest in the world and spans a majority of northwestern Brazil, a part of that mass, along with some other South American countries. The Amazon rainforest reflects great iconic biodiversity with very interesting flora and fauna, which are some of the reasons given for being the largest tropical rainforest worldwide. Within it lies the majestic Amazon River and its many other tributaries, giving rise to a complicated system of water bodies with an altogether different life. Threats like deforestation, fires, and climate change to this ecosystem increase and thus threaten the delicate balance and world renowned importance this ecosystem has.
