The República Federativa do Brasil, commonly known as Brazil, is the largest country in South America and is located on the east coast of South America. Brazil is made up of twenty-six states. The Amazon Rainforest is a common attraction for tourists and nature enthusiasts since it is home to millions of species. The Amazon Rainforest spans around 7,000,000 km sq. with the Amazon River being 3,977 miles long. The Amazon Rainforest covers around 60% of Brazil being relatively flat. The majority of Brazil has low terrain height which is mostly the Amazon Rainforest. However, the eastern part of Brazil is the Brazilian Highlands with a relatively high elevation. Iguazu Falls is another common attraction with its iconic two-step waterfall system making it one of the most popular waterfalls in the world to be visited by tourists. Brazil is populated towards the South and North Eastern Coasts making most of Brazil unpopulated due to its huge land features including highlands, mountain ranges, plateaus, and more. The climate of Brazil has a tropical climate with warm years since it is located around the equator which is a warm part of the earth. For these reasons, Brazil is a common attraction due to its iconic land features such as the Amazon Rainforest, Iguazu Falls, and the Brazilian Highlands.
